Women in most of the mainstream kingdoms, including the Kingdom of Khartras, the Tiberian Empire, and the Seven Kingdoms, did not fight with conventional weapons in the main battlelines. The Northern Church opposed the involvement of women outside of the household sphere, so the stronger its influence, the less likely female warriors existed in the local culture.

The Southern Church was more open-minded almost certainly because of the influence of the University of Khartras, the Academy of War, and Port Liberty. But women typically did not join the organized military units.

Near Port Liberty, in some of the Free Cities, and on the Southern Continent, though, a sizable number of women served on ships or in mercenary companies. Some companies used female riders as their light cavalry scouts.

Dalia and the group of women she trained with were strange anomalies in the eyes of most people, with reactions ranging from surprise to horror.

Among the three largest groups of nomads, women fought in defensive actions to protect the encampments and the herds.

Among mages, a significant percentage of those people able to wield power directly were female, and although female mages rarely campaigned with armies and participated in battles, they participated in fights between mages.
